With Halloween quickly approaching, you may be wondering, what should I be? If you’re anything like me, you’re also asking yourself, how can I piece together a cute costume on a seriously strict budget. Well, my answer for you is, makeup! Makeup can always be used as a costume. So relax, don’t stress yourself, I will walk you through the steps to creating the puurrrfect cat makeup (and costume) look for this fun night of tricks and treats.
1st: Choose your costume:
From personal experience, I suggest a dark dress. Something weather appropriate but also cute. Pair this with a dark pair of boots or high heels (if you’re adventurous). Next, pair this look with cat ears, homemade or purchased.
Helpful hint: *I purchased cat ear headband from Party City for less than $5!*
2nd: Costume complete, move on to the makeup!
3rd: The Nose
You want to cover the under portion and half of the tip of your nose with black eyeliner or black face paint to create a more cat shaped, almost triangular nose.

*Simply smudging a big black circle on your nose for a cat nose is a BIG NO NO!*
4th: The Wiskers
Make sure to only add 3-4 whisker dots and be sure to match the amount of whiskers to the amount of dots.

5th: The Cat Eye (False lashes optional, but found to be VERY beneficial)
Draw a dark, dramatic cat eye onto your top eyelid.
Here is my version of the Halloween Cat look from last years Halloween:

Have a happy and safe Halloween everyone! Next week, we will be discussing 2017's most popular Halloween makeup trends!
